Belle's Butterfly Garden

I know this is coming really late but I did promise to post about my daughter's birthday party and I intend to keep to my word. As I shared a couple of months ago, my not so little Shiloh-Isabelle turned 1!!! That of course, calls for celebration and cake so I will be sharing some pics from the day on the post.

The Decor

The Decoration was done by yours truly. When I came up with the theme for her party, I had a vision for it and the ideas just kept coming so I decided to put my DIIG (Do It In God) skills to use. Of course, I was biased in picking the theme (I LOOOVE BUTTERFLIES). I had so much fun creating the centerpieces, personalized water bottles, the welcome banner among other things but my favorite accomplishment would have to be the faux turf wall (I will blog about that in a later episode of DIIG). I decided to use pastel colors just because they are so soft but still make a statement.

Loved making these butterfly lanterns. They were supposed to hang on the ceilings but God had different plans.:-)

The Fun

The kids had painting stations at their tables to keep them busy while awaiting the arrival of the other guests. They were entertained by some of the best aunties Belle could ever ask for. They played some games and even involved the parents too. We also had a caricature artist, a face painter and a balloon animal artist available to treat all the guests.

The Cake

The Birthday Cake was made Edet Okon in Houston, TX. This cake itself has a story behind it and I can only give credit where it is due. He exceeded my expectations. It tasted even better than it looked. YUM!!!!

The Treats and Favors

The guests were also had flowered brown bags with personalized notebooks on the inside as favors. They added treats such as coated butterfly covered pretzels, candy treats, rainbow lollipops, coconut balls, butterfly cookies and so much more to their favor bags.

Belle's Get-Up

Belle wore matching shoes with her twin- Her Papa and also got to change her clothes to match with mommy before cutting her cake.

And that's all folks. To God be the glory, Belle's Butterfly Garden was a HIT!!! Be on the lookout for the launching of my company 623 Memory Lane, Inc. I have been working on it for a while and by His grace, I can now tell you that it is coming to fruition. Glory.
